I`m just back from a one week cruise on `Ijslmeer" in Holland, Europe. We had quite strong winds (20 - 30 knots, sometimes more) and I learned that the furling mechanism of the foresail didn`t work any longer at such wind speeds. We had no chance to change the foresail in that dumpy sea. My idea is to try a double forestay to make foresail changing easier. Is there anybody with experience on that matter?
