Are you ready for the "leading edge - high tech world"?

At the last CSCA Executive meeting we did some "soul searching" about our costs in terms of $'s and in terms of voluntary time commitments both of which seem to be in somewhat short supply these days!  We have now acted on that initiative!

Ottawa Region, where 50% of their members have email addresses, suggested a "pilot" project, with them, for electronic distribution of Sharkscan.  We will send it to them via email and they will distribute locally, printing and delivering paper copies where necessary.  We have taken them up on this offer.

The first "on-line" back issues of Sharkscan are now up in the Library on this web site (click here to see them).  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader^© to view it but you can download this for free from a link on that page.

Recently, we have initiated the "CSCA AutoEmail" program whereby all paid up members of the association receive personal email notification of Shark events and activities. Feedback has been very positive.

According to our membership records we already have email addresses for 200 of over 300 current  members.  Active member or not, if you have an email address and we don't have it or if you don't know if we have it or not, please complete the following and send it to us ASAP.  You won't get the regular emails if you are not currently "paid up" (that is an "active member" privilege) but it will enable us to contact you from time to time:

There are real saving to be gained here.  We can't do much about the time for preparation, layout etc. but the typing, printing, stuffing, labeling and mailing can be done electronically, relatively quickly and for virtually no $ cost!
